"It's easy to see why the company does not post the terms and conditions on the web site"
Upon inspection, it's easy to see why the company does not post the terms and conditions for the extended service protection plan on the web site. We had to call the company and ask them to e-mail us a copy.
The plan must be registered on the company's web site "properly within 30 of the invoice date....Failure to properly register this plan may restrict or eliminate full coverage benefits under this plan." That's one of the dump clauses.
"On-site service will only be offered if your location is within the authorized service area of an approved provider...it will be the responsibility of the Plan owner to arrange for transportation of the Covered Product to an authorized service center at this or her own cost."
Another dump clause, "Should parts no longer be available for a Covered Product, Administrator shall be excused from performance under this Plan and will refund the consumer the cost of the Plan."
Here's the Buyout Clause and Strict Limitation Clause located at the very end of the protection plan, "Limit of Liablility: Our liability is liimited to the original price of the covered equipment. This agreement will be terminated at the point total repair costs reach the lower of the original purchase price as indicated on your bill of sale or the current fair market value of the covered item."
"Plan coverage is provided for authorized products only."
