Panasonic TC-P55ST50 3D Plasma Review
The TC-P55ST50 has the Infinite Black Pro panel which the VT series had in 2011 with a cell structure that increases black levels by 1.5 times by blocking more ambient light with the louvered filter. This filter also prevents screen glare very well from our experience. It just absorbs the light without allowing it to reflect. This is a fantastic panel and picture quality for such a value oriented and well price active 3D plasma. The "self Illuminating" panel has very good contrast from the high efficiency panel while the Louver filter provides better light transmittance and clarity to images.

Samsung PN59D8000 3D Plasma Review
Samsung's C8000 series plasma was our favorite TV last year, hands down. We were the first company to review a plasma TV way back in year 2000 and last year's C8000 series was one of the best pictures we have seen since the Pioneer Kuro. The entire office was blown away by it's performance, picture quality and overall good looks. In 2011 one of Samsung's theme for plasmas is "+1", by making the bezel even thinner they are adding 1 diagonal inch to every size of plasma, 59 replaces 58, 64 replaces 63 and so on.

In 2011 one of Samsung's theme for plasmas is "+1", by making the bezel even thinner they are adding 1 diagonal inch to every size of plasma. The new, one inch larger screen retains many of the pircture features from last year, it appears to be a case of not messing with a good thing. The Real Black Filter returns, providing rich, deep blacks that enhance all the other colors sharing the screen.

Panasonic TC-P50ST30 Review
See the Video Review
Panasonic's ST30 series plasma is a new series for 2011, where the S series offers plasma picture quality at a budget price the ST30 has a higher end panel and 3D capability. It doesn't have some bells and whistles of the top line models but it has excellent picture quality and 3D at a great price point.

Samsung PN51D6500 3D Plasma Review
See the Video Review
This TV is perfect for that dark living room environment or home theater due to its relatively low light output and brightness. Viewing and testing showed the deepest black levels to be very rich, even as peak white was less than average. Combined though contrast looks good and the TVs picture quality is fantastic with smooth motion, excellent realistic color rendition, inky blacks, and top quality dark shadow detail.

Panasonic TC-P50GT30 3D Plasma Review
See the Video Review
The GT30 series 3D plasma represents Panasonics next to highest end features and price model for 2011. Only the VT30 will have more features at a higher price. The post calibration picture is extremely vibrant but still realistic. Colors pop off the screen and envelop you in the picture.

Panasonic TC-P50S30 3D Plasma Review
The S30 is the replacement for 2010's very popular and top selling S2 series of plasma televisions. It offers a good picture an feature set at an affordable price and is available in a variety of sizes. Robert Wiley and Jack Burden review the TC-P50S30 after the jump.

Samsung PN50C8000 3D Plasma Review
I expected great things from the top of the line Samsung plasma C8000 series and what did I get? In a word, satisfaction. The PN50C8000 represents the top of the line for Samsung's 2010 plasma lineup and includes all the upgrade features such as 3D compatibility, the best picture processors, thin 1.4" depth, great Internet options, and stellar picture quality.

Panasonic TC-P50VT25 3D Plasma Review
The TC-P50VT25 is the highest end top tier offering from Panasonic for 2010. The TV is 3D ready, has THX certifications, is Skype enabled (camera sold seperately), and contains Panasonic's new NEO PDP (plasma display panel). How do all of these new features and the accompanying picture quality add up? Read more...
Samsung PN58C7000 3D Plasma Review
With both high def and standard definition programming the PN58C7000 displays an exceptionally balanced and realistic picture. Colors are not over saturated but still have plenty of pop. Black levels are excellent and dark shadow detail is very good. Viewing angles are perfect. It's simply got a great picture, and excellent Internet options. I would buy it just for the picture quality alone.

Panasonic TC-P54G25 3D Plasma Review
The TC-P54G25 is Panasonic's next to highest end offering for 2010. The only features lacking in this model from the highest end VT25 series is 3D capability. I does contain the new Skype enabled feature, and has THX certifications for picture calibrations and settings. So the big question with this model is how is stacks up against some of the new LCD/LED TVs as the 54" category is very rare with plasma TVs. Read more...
Samsung PN50C550 Plasma Review
Samsung is remaining consistent with it's plasma offerings and bringing back the 550 offering which was a big seller last year. We liked it last year and were looking forward to reviewing it again. Some of the features and qualitative measurements were different this year, but we still enjoyed the TV a lot. These lower end Samsung plasma offerings always represent such good value. Read more...
LG 50PK550 Plasma Review
The 50PK550 is a middle tier 2010 plasma TV offering from LG that includes some nice features and calibration options while leaving off Internet connectivity, 3D compatibility and the best video processing. With HD content, the PK550 yielded a much better picture and depth continued to improve. Color rendition was also much richer with the 1080i signal. Read more...
Panasonic Viera TC-P50S2 Plasma Review
The TC-P50S2 series plasma contains the new an updated version of the NEO PDP (i.e. plasma screen) from Panasonic. This is the same screen used in some of the higher end Panasonic series which should make this model a good value if picture quality is your primary objective. We find the picture quality overall improved from the prior S1 series.. Read more...
Samsung PN50C6500 Plasma Review
First we start off with an aesthetically stunning TV model in the C6500. At 1.4" depth and subtle Touch of Color looks this model looks high end through and through. It adds the Samsung Internet Applications and a few other features while forgoing the expensive 3D ready option. It falls right in the center of Samsung's plasma TV offerings for 2010/2011. LG 50PJ350 Plasma Review
The 50PJ350 is the lowest price and feature set offering from LG's plasma lineup for 2010. This plasma offering has a unique place in today's TV world with a resolution of 1366 X 768 or 720p or 1080i. We dont have anything against 720p since much broadcast HD TV programming likely comes through in this resolution – as long as the 720p picture quality is excellent. Read more...
Panasonic Viera TC-P50S2 Plasma Review
Certainly Samsung has come a long way in plasma panels. I remember a time past when they were, um, well, irregular in many ways. Color coordinates were off, they were often clunky, heavy and deep not to mention unattractive. All of that has changed now. This model represents approximately the 10th generation plasma product and represents the one of the best if not the best values in the television market today. Read more...
Panasonic Viera TC-P50G10 Plasma Review
This Panasonic offers an unusually bright picture for a plasma television. Black levels are somewhat compromised with normal television signals and contrast is competitive though not great for a plasma TV. Aesthetics are a highlight. I really like the thin gloss frame with bevel rounded edges. The framing bezel is just a touch over 1.5" - Great! The graduated silver bar in the bottom of the frame adds a nice 3-dimensional touch. Panasonic Viera TC-P54S1 Plasma Review
The picture presentation of the 54S1 is exceptionally bright for a plasma TV. Black levels are deep and strong with an HD signal input through HDMI. While not the best we've seen lately, they lose the dark gray haziness that the S1 displays with a 480i signal. Color is plenty saturated and dark shadow detail remains excellent. Read more...
Panasonic Viera TC-P50X1 Plasma Review
When we wrote our initial comments regarding the 50X1 plasma from Panasonic in March when the units were introduced we were under the false assumption that this Panasonic model, though 720p rather than 1080p would preserve the excellent black levels for which Panasonic is known. We were wrong. The black levels are not sufficient to garner a good picture quality rating. We were right about the price coming in low. It can be found for a stunningly low price. Read more...
Samsung PN58A650 Plasma TV Review
Samsung is continuing with a second generation foray into the 58" plasma arena to do battle with Panasonic. This new PN650 series from Samsung is hot looking (and also creates a lot of heat while operating). It's got some very nice feature upgrades over the 550 series by Samsung while not stepping on the price too much – making it a very attractive quality/value play in this size of plasma. The features on the PN58A650 are fairly robust with increased contrast, advanced picture settings, scrolling wheel user interface adjustments, and Samsung's new Touch of Color aesthetics. Panasonic TH-50PZ85U vs. Samsung PN50A650 Plasma TV Review
Panasonic and Samsung have a strong battle going for the top spot in 1st Tier plasma sales and both have alluring new products arriving summer of 2008. The Samsung plasma model tested represents the companies 2nd tier plasma product, while the TH50PZ85U Panasonic plasma is that company’s 3rd tier plasma TV product. However, these two products cost about the same. Both have one or two plamsa’s still to come in 2008 with higher cost and more features. Read more...
LG 42PG25 Review
This is a second tier model in LGs 2008/2009 lineup for plasma TVs. So the TV has some budget conscious constraints as our review below will point out. All 2008 LG plasma TVs claim a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and this series plasma has a native contrast of 20,000:1. The plasma has the new Fluid Motion technology which LG claims gives the effect of a 180hz refresh rate. It also contains some of the other common enhancements found in all of LG's new plasma lineup such as Clear Voice technology which enhances and amplifies the human voice element in programming with lots of background noise or music.
