2011 Samsung Plasma Models
Samsung PN43D490
The PN43D490 is an even lower priced plasma TV 43" from Samsung. It is only 720p in resolution so greatly discounted from the higher end models but it does still have 3D compatibility even though you will not see 1080p to each eye. Instead the resolution is around 540 to each eye and the picture is still good. The picture is also dim on this TV even though it is film-like, but we only recommend it for darker rooms. It will not blind you with its brightness.
Samsung PN43D450
Samsungs 43" PN43D550 is one of the best value TVs in the market in 2011. It's got everything going for it except the highest end features. The picture can be a bit dim for brightly lit rooms so I'm not sure we would recommend it for this use, but aside from that it is very solid.

The 2010 4 series plasmas continue Samsung's affordable 720p plasma line. Most HD programming is still in 720p so the majority of the time you won't be missing out on resolution.
