BUYING EXPERIENCE:
After a great deal of product research, I chose three different vendors to consider. I chose Tigerdirect based on the previously stated reasons with a key reason being availability. One of the main reasons I purchased the set now instead of latter (it's my 40th birthday present) was so that I could watch my favorite football team make a run for the Super Bowl. Tigerdirect's website indicated that the product was in stock so I placed the order. The on-line ordering system was easy to use and I appreciated all of the security/fraud protection measures that they undertook as the on-line order progressed. A day after the order was placed, I checked online to track the order and it was listed as backordered!
To make a long story short, I spoke with three different customer reps on three different days and they gave me three different dates that they expected the product to be delivered to the warehouse. I missed viewing two playoff games on my new set, which was delivered three days after my team (Steelers) was bumped from the playoffs. Boy was I pissed. Now that I've calmed down, I love my new plasma TV.

I ordered this plasma on 7/23,tiger direct salesman told me there were 2 in stock after ordering I find out mine was to be drop shipped from panasonic, while my wall mount and extra 2 yr warranty was shipped immediatly Another reason I decided to purchase from tiger direct was the "availablity" It arrived 8/04 some blue beads in the tip mtr ,noted that on the invoice, no damage . Just installed it today ...Fantastic!!! However the directions for remote $ operations leave MUCH TO BE DESIRED! I have a zenith dvd-vcr player and I cannot figure out how toget the vcr on only the dvd. I would buy from tiger direct again This is my 3rd major purchase on the internet .
